E.1 Awards – an awards ceremony celebrating students at Esbjerg’s higher education institutions for their outstanding achievements!

On 25 November, we invite you to an evening at Tobakken dedicated to celebrating students who have truly stood out – whether through academic excellence, creativity, or their contribution to a stronger student community.

During the evening, six academic awards will be presented – one for each higher education institution in Esbjerg – along with the special E.1 Social Award, which is presented to one or more students who have made a positive difference to Esbjerg as a student city. Each award is worth DKK 20,000.

In addition, we will present the Henrik Uhd Christensen Study Travel Grant, worth DKK 25,000, to a student who dreams of studying or completing an internship abroad while representing Esbjerg as an ambassador.

Applications for the Henrik Uhd Christensen Study Travel Grant and nominations for the E.1 Social Award open on 1 October.

E.1 Social Award

Do you know a student or a group of students who have made a difference to the student community in Esbjerg? Maybe they have taken the initiative to organise social activities, strengthened the sense of community, or brought students together across different study programmes?

Now is your chance to nominate them for the E.1 Social Award – and give them the opportunity to win DKK 20,000!

Nominations can be submitted by both students and lecturers up to and including 1 November. The winner will be chosen by the audience at the E.1 Awards on 25 November at 4:45 PM.

The Henrik Uhd Christensen Study Travel Grant

Do you dream of studying or doing an internship abroad?

The Henrik Uhd Christensen Study Travel Grant, worth DKK 25,000, can help you turn your ambitions into reality. The grant was established in honour of Henrik Uhd Christensen, former CEO of Viking, and is financially supported by the Claus Sørensen Foundation. Submit your application by 1 November.

The grant is awarded to a student who wishes to develop their skills and gain new experience through a stay abroad, while also acting as an ambassador for Esbjerg and E.1.
