But what is kvote 2 really?

Kvote 2 is one of the two application categories you can use to gain admission to higher education in Denmark. While kvote 1 primarily relies on your grade point average (GPA) from high school or an equivalent education, kvote 2 is more open and focuses on your personal background and experience—rather than just your grades.

So, if you’re transitioning from high school to university, kvote 2 can be your pathway to pursuing the dream of getting into the program that ignites your passion and aligns with your ambitions.

Kvote 2 opens up a new world of opportunities for you as a student. Now you have the chance to showcase your full potential and who you are—regardless of the grades on your diploma.

How do you apply for kvote 2?

Applying for kvote 2 is a relatively straightforward process, and we assure you that you can handle it. However, there is still an application process that requires careful preparation and consideration. As mentioned earlier, kvote 2 is based on factors like your personal background and experience, which you need to describe in your application.

When you start your application, you need to create a profile on the relevant application portal, where you select the programs you wish to apply for. Then, the portal will guide you step by step through the process, informing you on how to complete your application.

Even though it’s all exciting and you want to send your application off as quickly as possible, remember to read the specific requirements and deadlines for each program. Because even if you’ve done it before or heard about others who have, the expectations can vary from program to program. But now for the fun part!

Can you apply for both kvote 1 and kvote 2?

Yes, you can definitely apply for both kvote 1 and kvote 2. However, if you find yourself in a situation where you have to choose between applying for kvote 1 or kvote 2, it is recommended to apply for kvote 2.

When you apply through kvote 2, many educational institutions automatically consider your application in kvote 1 as well. So by applying through kvote 2, you are covered under both application methods.

How do you write a kvote 2 application?

A successful kvote 2 application requires a personal statement that highlights your qualifications and motivations. In your application, you can include previous experiences, as well as skills and interests that make you suitable for the specific program you are targeting.

Additionally, it’s a great idea to be clear, precise, and convincing in your application. Your statement should reflect your passion for the program and articulate why this particular education is the perfect fit for you, your aspirations, and what you want for your future.

Before you start writing your application, consider what makes you unique and how your past experiences and encounters have shaped you. Use this insight to inform your application.

You can include things like volunteer work—whether it’s volunteering at a local youth club or if you’ve taken a gap year in another country. Some also choose to mention personal challenges, but it’s optional what you want to include, and it can vary from program to program what makes sense for your application.

And don’t panic: You don’t need to have traveled the world or volunteered for many years. You just need to be able to explain why you deserve the chance to get into your dream program. Kvote 2 gives you the opportunity to stand out and showcase everything you have to offer beyond your grades.

Admission Requirements for kvote 2

The admission requirements for kvote 2 vary depending on the program. They may include relevant subjects, work experience, volunteer work, or other qualifications. Therefore, it is important to check the specific admission requirements for the program you are applying to and ensure that your application meets them.

For some programs, there are also specific subject requirements that you need to fulfill. This can include certain grades or certificates. It’s a good idea to thoroughly research the admission requirements so you are as well-prepared as possible when submitting your application.

How is the kvote 2 application evaluated?

When your kvote 2 application is evaluated, it is done individually by the educational institution. They will review your application thoroughly, just like they do with all other applicants.

What is important to understand about kvote 2 applications is that they are about much more than just your grades. Kvote 2 is about your personal story, your commitment to the desired field of study, and who you are as a person—without considering your grades. This is why it also takes a long time to review all the applications.

When applying through kvote 2, it is crucial to be aware of the important dates in the application process. Here are some of the dates you should pay attention to:

Application Deadline for kvote 2

The application deadlines can vary between educational institutions and programs, so make sure to check carefully when applications need to be submitted.

The application for kvote 2 usually opens on February 1st. This means that starting from February 1st, you can submit your application. The application deadline is March 15th by 12 PM. This means that you need to have submitted your application by the aforementioned date. However, this can vary from year to year, and sometimes it may differ from one institution to another. So always remember to double-check this—because yes, it would be incredibly unfortunate to miss the deadline by just a day—or even just an hour!

Processing Time for Applications

After the application deadline, you should expect that educational institutions will take time to review all kvote 2 applications. They do not send out responses on a rolling basis; instead, they provide all responses at the same time. This can vary, but responses to applications are typically expected to be sent out in late July.

Possible supplementary tests or Interviews

If your desired program requires supplementary tests or interviews as part of the application process, it’s a good idea to be aware of the specific dates. Always double-check if you have the slightest doubt. It’s your future that’s at stake—so it’s better to be safe than to miss a deadline.

Check your emails

We know you know this, but we have to remind you one more time! Make sure to check your email regularly. If the educational institutions have important information or messages regarding your application, they will contact you through this channel.

So just to be that boring type—it’s crucial that you keep track of these dates and adhere to the application deadlines. This is essential for ensuring that your kvote 2 application is processed correctly and on time. So mark it in your calendar so you don’t forget.

When will you get a response for kvote 2?

The response time for when you’ll receive an answer to your kvote 2 application can vary depending on the institution and program you are applying to. Typically, you can expect to receive a response in late July.

As the time approaches for you to receive your answer, it might be a good idea to keep an eye out for updates from the educational institution. You will often be able to read specifically when you can expect a response from them—but you should also watch for any additional steps in the application process.
